COLONIAL SCOUTS

First outing for Scouts pack in this past May 2026. This is a new facet of the NCRA’s continuation of the colonial life experience through the use of tools, gear, and clothing of the period.

We were on the property that will be this year’s Colonial Encampment. Giving everyone a bit of a preview of the site that we will be on in August 2026.

Five-man group, 4 days and 3 nights on the ground. Pack in camp, once set up, scout the area then returning to base was the scenario on this one.

We are about comradery, sharing information, and techniques among the group with a camp inspection and time on the ground.

Great time on the ground, we had two new scouts come in and were great to work with and help them start their journey in period trekking, scouting, camping, and moving at a pre 1820 timeline next up will be a Canoe Trek on the either the Skagit or the Black river!

All the very best,
